REFSIX is Apple's App of the Day

REFSIX, the app for football referees, has been selected as Apple’s App of the Day on the App Store for iOS.

Apple selects one app every day to be placed on the front page of the App Store and on Sunday 3rd November 2019 that app was REFSIX.

In Apple’s write up of the app they stated:

The beautiful game deserves beautiful apps – and if you’re a referee, this is one of them. Use Refsix to plan, track and record everything you might need for your matches on Apple Watch, from scores to stoppages and beyond.

The app helps in three areas: pre-match, in-match and post-match. Pre-match happens on iPhone, where the comprehensive game settings let you create a new fixture and add all the crucial details such as team sheets.

In the game itself, your Apple Watch acts as a timekeeper for halves, penalties and stoppages, plus it lets you quickly record goals, substitutions and yellow cards.

Refsix tracks details from the match – giving you your own post-match breakdown.

After the game, Apple Watch sends all the stats across to the iPhone app. Here you can review the match: which players have had incidents, what’s happened in the game, how far you’ve run and even which bits of the pitch you’ve spent the most time in.

Information is archived for every game, enabling you to see tonnes of statistics across every match you’ve refereed. Possibly the best thing since the invention of the whistle.”
