Our best update ever

Just like our users, we are constantly looking to improve. REFSIX is excited to announce a new update that represents a step change in the user experience. 

Now that REFSIX has been used in over 800,000 games in 160 countries, we needed to upgrade our systems to cope with this level of rapid growth.

So what’s changed?

Our development team has been working extremely hard behind the scenes to improve the technology that powers REFSIX. The app has been completely rebuilt from the ground up.

We’ve kept all of your favourite features and functionality, so you’ll still be able to do the following:

  • Manage fixtures and results

  • Time the game, record match incidents and keep score on a watch or phone

  • Sin-bin timing is done for you to make life easier on the pitch

  • View heatmaps, sprints, distance, heart rate and more

  • Analyse your game with our video replay tool

The majority of the changes we’ve made are to the user interface, making it easier to navigate and use REFSIX on whatever device you choose - desktop, phone or watch. Some of these changes include:

  • A breakdown of total sprints per game, into short, medium and long

  • Advanced filtering - filter upcoming matches, results or trends by a specific team or by a match official. Filter across multiple competitions

  • Using REFSIX without a watch is now much easier using our ‘add a result’ feature. Include scores, subs, and cards… the game will be included in your career statistics

There may be some minor features we haven’t enabled yet. Don’t worry, we’re working on bringing them into the new app, and in the meantime, you can still use them via the my.REFSIX.com website. If you’re missing a feature or have any problems with the new version of the app, get in touch with our support team who can help.

What the future holds

The best thing about the new REFSIX? It enables us to move much faster to deliver the features you’ve always wanted. We’ve got lots of exciting plans over the next few years. New features, new ways of connecting to users, new elite functionality and new ways for associations to retain referees. Keep an eye out on social media for exciting announcements.

Integrations

One of the biggest changes you’ll see over the next couple of years is REFSIX integrating and partnering with more national, local and commercial associations. We already work with the Danish FA, Stack Sports, RefAssist and more. Integrations make it easier to manage your games, as fixtures are sent directly to your REFSIX account. We can then sync match data back to the association, enabling them to collect data from the source of truth - you!
