All the features we launched in 2019
2019 was a great year for us at REFSIX. We were featured as an App of the Day on Appleโs ๐ AppStore in the UK ๐ฌ๐ง in November, we were used in over 95,000 matches โฝ๏ธ around the world and now have referees using the REFSIX app โ๏ธ in every continent other than Antartica โ๏ธ.
Weโre continuously listening ๐ to the refereeing community that use our app, to constantly add new features and improve, to ensure itโs the perfect tool for referees on match day. In 2019 we added a whole bunch of features that referees had requested:
Q1 2019
The first part of 2019 saw us spend a lot of time focusing on watchesโ๏ธ. We had a ton of requests to get REFSIX on the Samsung Watch platforms throughout 2018 so ensured it was top of our priorities in 2019. Alongside this we developed a way for Android Wear watches to work with iPhoneโs and launched this alongside the Samsung release.
We also added a new interactive tutorial ๐ to the help section and for all new users to help guide you on how to use REFSIX for the first time.
Q2 2019
We launched our new Trends page which gave referees access to lots of detail statistics about their season and career. Check it out here.
Referees wanted to keep track of their match fees and expenses so we added the ability for them to track these for individual matches but also see the total they made across their season and career in the Trends area.
Referees can now add the match officials they go out with in to the app for each match. (If you want to turn this on simply head to Settings)
Hola! We made the app available in Spanish ๐ช๐ธ
Q3 2019
For referees without smartwatches or for those who forgot to charge their watch the night before we created the ability to add Results directly in the app. Simply go to the Results page and click the + icon in the top right. โฝ๏ธ
๐ We enabled the ability for referees to sync matches in to their phoneโs calendar. (Again head to settings if you want to turn this on)
If you referee the same team over and over and input team sheets weโve saved you time by suggesting names from previous matches with that team.
For referees in England, we added autocomplete for every menโs and womenโs team and league from the English pyramid system. Download the English Pyramid team pack in settings.
PRO users can now export workout's GPS and heart rate using my.refsix.com. From a result, click share and then Download GPX File option. You can then upload this file to your favourite fitness app. ๐
๐ You can now upload GPS and heart rate data recorded on any device (as GPX/FIT files) into REFSIX from the result page on my.refsix.com.
Q4 2019
Referees and observers can now use all the features of the REFSIX Watch app directly on their smartphone. ๐ฒ
In line with the new Laws of the Game we enabled the ability for team officials to receive yellow ๐ and red ๐ cards.
๐ Swipe down on the main watch face to reveal the time remaining for players who have been temporarily dismissed (sin bin).
Heart rate zones show how hard you pushed yourself in each match and in Trends. ๐
๐ Sprint maps are now available for every match and sprint stats have been added to Trends.
